Arreglo Preventivo del Botón Disparador Camara SONY DSC-H (1 a ...)

Bueno querido amigo, este es el aporte que falta relativo al botón disparador de su cámara digital Sony DSC-H de la 1 a la... la que sea.

Reiterando y para no repetir, remítase al blog anterior donde se evidencia de nuevo el problema en esta pieza por defecto de diseño y material utilizado, lo que hace poco... nada práctico estar comprando botones cada 2 meses ( Como nota adjunta opino que un botón de esos a la SONY no le debe costar ni 10 centavos y se vende a U$22 !!... ni que fueran de oro!). Aun así si desean, tengo el link y el número de serie de la pieza para que la compren en un lugar en EEUU:

En todo caso, si ya tiene la pieza de repuesto nueva o si tiene la suerte y aún no se ha roto, aquí está el método para que dure el tiempo que dure la cámara. Si tiene el repuesto en la mano, aún no lo instale. Si quiere reforzar el de la cámara, primero debe retirarlo, como? Simplemente tómelo entre sus dedos por la base brillante y gírelo en el sentido contrario a las manecillas del reloj.
El botón está sujeto al cuerpo de la cámara por medio de dos pequeñas patitas en cada lado del diámetro del botón (una del lado externo y otra del lado del flash), si alguna se dobla o se rompe, no se preocupe, es normal ya que estas piezas no están hechas para ser retiradas a menos que se dañen.. y claro, se dañan.

Ahora, con un giro de 90 grados, el botón saldrá hacia arriba desencajándose de las guías.

1) Ahora, presione el botón y manténgalo así y observe que por debajo sale un delicado y delgado punzón plástico (como toda la pieza), en él hay un cuello mas delgado aún y encajada allí, una arandelita metálica. La arandelita se encarga de que el botón dosparador no salga de su posición. EL cuellito es la zona por la que se rompe el punzón y sin arandela como tope, el botón sale disparado por la fuerza del resorte interno.

2) Para mantener presionado puede valerse de un pedacito de cinta pegante e ir a un lugar ventilado.

3) Ahora y como indica el esquema a continuación, usted debe colocar una pequeña gota de PEGANTE INSTANTÁNEO solamente en la zona del cuellito, no en todo el punzón. Retirar el exceso de pegante pasando el filo de una hoja de papel y muy IMPORTANTE: La arandela debe quedar cerca de la punta tal como se vé en el diagrama.

4) Esperar unos 10 minutos para que seque el pegante. Soplar eventualmente, ni muy cerca ni muy fuerte.

5) Asegurarse que está totalmente seco y libre de vapores. Retirar la cinta para liberar el botón, comprobar que este sube y baja sin trabarse... y LISTO!

6) Si alguna patica de anclaje se ha roto (usualmente solo una), simplemente encaje el botón con delicadeza, en forma vertical de modo que no haya que girarlo. Inicie por introducir la patica que está en buen estado. Acto seguido apique una pequeña gotica muy esparcida por el filo del botón, solo en la parte donde estuviera la otra patica, presione asegurándose que sus dedos no toquen esa zona ya que si lo hace, al presionar saldrá pegante sobrante de allí (siempre lo hace) y su dedo quedará pegado a la cámara dejandolo parte de ella para siempre!

En un par de días subo más diagramas del proceso.

Ahora una vez reforzado el punzón, le aseguro que este prolongará su vida muchísimo mas... diría yo que lo que dure la cámara. De hecho a la mía, desde que me enteré de esta debilidad y le apliqué este tip que se me ocurrió, nunca se me ha roto y mucho menos he tenido que comprar uno de repuesto.

Fix PERMANENTLY Autofocus and Shutter DSC H (1 to 9)

Hello everybody! Here is my little contribution.

I have a SONY DSC-H5 too and the problem? The same as you. But in my case the autofocus (when push the shutter button to the middle position) was whom has let to see its failure first, shutter is still in good condition.

When I saw what is going to occur to my camera, investigate more and find a blog where http://www.thelope.com/2007/03/sony-dsc-h2-problems.html show us images of a new DSC-H shutter and the way how the autofocus system fails. In other blog, a guy (latin) related his experience about the mending of the autofocus system when took the experience of opening his camera by himself and making a (temporary) repair in it. The good new was that it come to work again after disconnecting and re-connecting the delicate internal wiring.

I´m a modest Industrial Designer whom nothing know about electronics but some about configuration of all kind of mechanic equipment. Since child I took many things to pieces and assemble them again: watches, my bicycle,.. my motorcycle,.. my car,… sewing machines… machinery… tools… etc. At last never found surplus pieces jejeje.

Meeting all this matter make me take courage for mending my camera and dive in an inexplored terrain… nothing to loose. After I found out from bad experiences with SONY company, more tan ever gonna give away my money furthermore guarantee (expired) is in Belgium were I bought it… and I live close to there: in Colombia… that´s better.

The shutter button is good, I´ll refer to this matter later but autofocus system doesn´t work, then beginning from the images in the blog related before… go ahead!

Here I relate step by step this experience that now could repeat with my eyes closed whitout the fear that it looks. It is not as complicated as seen. Simply you have to be delicated with excessive forces and movements that could give up on the fragile cable system. It is like plastic “tapes” that suffering, for example a snap or excessive twist/bend, could interrupt the current and/or data transmission, due to this the camera will be break down. In fact you must to keep away your fingers off the end of those conductive tapes once removed due to th humidity and acidity of your skin could cause corrosion on them… but don´t worry! This tapes are designed for been flexible precisely for the manipulation in the assembling momment. This process is not made for a robot machine, at SONY this stage is done for a human being like you and me, so don´t feel fear. After all you gonna meet how is your camera inside and gonna to lose that fear to the inexplicable events ocurring into it. By the way, next images were taken with a SONY DSC S60, good looking camera too. It was once of them having a direct visión device for sabe battery or when display was under conditions of intense ambiental light.

I would advise, if you were ready to spend money taking your camera to repair shop, is better than this to invest on printing this documento or asking me for a PDF versión, the same as working on a clean table under daylight (not under sun rays) and your hands absolutely clean, dry and ungreased. Is very good take this hands bath under the water tap for unload the body of statics, avoiding damage the delicate electronics in your camera. Tools will be required next and all of this is at your home… it is better you stand up your chair and go looking for it, with this you will change the activity and get a bit relaxing time. O.K. then let´s begin:

1) Remove the black screws surrounding the camera, has no mystery and they are 6 marked on the photo. It is convenient to use a screwdriver that fits perfectly on them. Put them in a little tea plate and DO NOT MIX with internal ones. For these ones you must to use a method that I explain forward. (I want to clarify that the photo was downloaded from some internet page, please do not going to think I was opening my camera when it was on!).

2) The real fear starts! But don´t worry any connected here, this is only the back cover. The buttons not going to fall, any spring goes to jump away, nor the little monkey whom draws the pics inside the camera (Flinstones style). Simply remove it sliding back using manual forces. Do NOT USE levers (tools) could to produce damage on the plastic finished or the edges.

3) See? It is not complex! Everything is holded and you must to put this piece face-down beside the tea plate, where the black screws are.

4) This is the method for the internal screws: It is advisable to draw this diagram that symbolize your camera as seen from back. The little circles have the location of the screws. The RED numbers have the order to REMOVE when going to DISMANTLE. The BLUE ones have the order when going to ASSEMBLE again. I advise that once you remove one to one the screws, inmediately they could been inserted across the paper where each (and respective) circle is. With this you avoid that any accidental movement on the paper could disorganize them and we´ll be sure all things stay like the beginning.

5) Up: Screw 1 (the first) to dismantling and 9 (the last) to assembling.

6) Up: Screw 2 to dismantling and 8 to assembling.

7) Up: Screw 3 to dismantling and 7 to assembling.

8) Up: Screw 4 to dismantling and 6 to assembling. It is needed to remove the blue plaque a little. Just take it knock out of the position of the little black plastic guides (marked on the second image).

9) Up: Screw 5 to dismantling and 5 to assembling. It is recommended to lift up a little the screen and do this work with the screwdriver a bit tilted. ATENTION: Try to not touch the screen with any finger, nor pushing it. Take the screen by its plastic edges. Avoid to touch internal circuits.

10) Up: Screw 6 to dismantling and 4 to assembling. It is recommended to lift up a little the screen and do this work with the screwdriver a bit tilted.

Sorry for the lack of this image, maybe I forgot to take it but you´ll find the screw easily folowing its location on the diagram. This screw is finded some deep and hidden underneath one of the tape cables on the right side of the View Finder. It is recommended the use of an magnetic srewdriver.

11) Up: Screw 7 to dismantling and 3 to assembling. It is recommended the use a magnetic screwdriver.

12) To this point will be able to begin removing the cable systems require. First you must to preserve without removing those ones in the image up (don´t worry if here this piece looks taken apart, forward I´ll explain this procedure). All the photos in this manual were taken at the moment of assembling… I think it is more important than… you´ll see.

13) First is needed to release this little plaque. Acquire it taking it from these plastic “nails”. On the second image up see that the assembling is simply under pressure and dismantling occurs opening a bit one of them. Be delicate.

14) Remove the blue tape whom control the entrance to the Storaged photos and the View Fider activity. This little plastic card is simply fitted and you can remove it by bending lightly up, this procedure causes that one of the plastic blue nails get out from one of the sides (better that one in the first image up)… try, it is so easy. Try to work wearing shirt without sleeves avoiding something could be tangled up by mistake.

15) Here is where begins the complicated part: The matter is to disconnect 7 systems “tape” type… just follow all of this to the letter and everything will be finished good. After remove the plaque and blue plastic card (steps 13 and 14) you´ll see it is so easy to move (and lift up) the screen and the blue plaque beside. This was done for getting access to the 7 “tapes” (as I´ll refer to the plastic conductive tape type from now on) below the screen that we going to remove. The first tape (first image up) is on the lower-left corner of the camera (back view): This one uses a cable clip system or flap system which opens lift up their lateral ends. This flap has the function to hold that tape. Use a little plane screwdriver then, with firmly, very gently, without hesitation and in a short movement pull up one of the lateral ends… after the other untill you feel a click and the flap lifts up as the car motor cover (See the diagram below). For assembling the mechanism again you must to insert completely the tape… to the end. To do this, help yourself with a tweezers or a little… little pliers, very fine. These must to hold without produce deform or cause damage on the tape. They are two little “nails” at each side of the tape which, before you remove it, are separated one milimeter (1 mm) aproximately to the holding flap. This is IMPORTANT: Simply putting the tape in the mouth of the holding system is not enough, your have to push it ever more into the slot. Please use a medium force and practice here once a time more. Do this and you don´t have any trouble in the future: Memorize the distance “nails” to holding flap, lift up the holding flap, pull the tape outside…. And again: align / insert the tape, push it into the slot helped with a tweezers or tiny pliers… not only the finger (in the picture i used my finger just for show), push down the holding flap till it will be absolutelly horizontal and fitted… that´s all! I swear that this is the most complicated act in this adventure. If you do well, your camera will turn on O.K. but simply two things could happen: A) That the camera looks like to turn on but the screen, and B) Camera turns on and screeen too but a message reads: “Turn on the camera again”. As you see, it is nothing serious. For me, when this happen to me, it was a very… very stressful moment. I came to think to surrender me and take my camera in pieces at service shop to bear the mockery and scolding… was enough to take a deep breath, rest a bit and evaluate what was I did bad. This was do not measure the short distance between the lateral “nails” on the tape and the frontal edge of the holding flap for ensure from this way that the tape was REALLY inserted into the slot. Below there is to be a diagram of this connection system that is present in 4 of the 7 you´ll manipulate.

16) Find this tape (under the lower-right corner of the screen, beside the batteries compartment). Use the tweezers or tiny pliers for pull the tape outside. Do not let the tweezers slip from the tape. As you see, this type of connection don´t use holding flap, first peel off just the needed of the adhesive paper and simply is enough by insert the tape till the bottom. Before remove the tape, is recommended to “take a mental photo” about the depth which the tape is. VERY CAREFUL with the red and black cables beside.

17) Here I utilized the screwdriver just for showing that we giong to pull up the tape (having blue lines) which is holded by that little piece of black plastic. You must to use your fingers and don´t worry that the tape is very flexible… in fact, around that is the meanning and it is made for this type of manipulation.

18) Lifting up the screen (gently) we going to remove that tape having blue lines. Here maybe you´re aware in a better way of the system I call: holding flap. In the first image you can see the way to push up the flap (go to the diagram again if you want). Later pull the tape outside. You know that for isert the tape again MUST TO BE WITH THE TINY PLIERS UNTILL BOTTOM. In the second image is seen the flap lifted.

19) Up: This system use holding flap too, so don´t worry… I don´t know why it is different to others. Remove the tape pulling out and then slice out in that way for getting out from under the black plastic guides which holding it… so don´t forget to slice it below again when assembling.

20) These are the last two tapes that we remove… puf!. Under the smallest tape (right) is to be a little double-cable in red&black color which connect the microphone… we´ll see this at step 23.

21) Beside the View Finder is to be the last two tapes for removing. I began with this that is a bit complicated cause is too close to the Finder and because I had to peel off jus the needed of the adhesive silver-plated paper. It has the holding flap system too (you know). In the next image I utilize the screwdriver just fro showing the tape and its adhesive silver-plated paper covering it.

22) This is the neighboring tape of the previous one. Just pull out. Insert with tweezers or tiny plies again. (In the image up, I´m just marking the tape).

23) The famous little microphone cable: This is a simply but very little plug (the socket is below the electronic plaque) which you´ll be able to hold with security. Take VERY CARE cause if the tweezers or tiny plies slips, they run the risk of pull out by a yank one (or both) of the little cables from the plug… left the plug still into the slot. That plug is not as tight as it looks like. The method I used was with a needle… pricking it SO gently by the sides alternatively… pushing out one side… pushing out the other side and again until it looks to be loose. Then I utilized the tweezers… EASY! (puf). Pushing into the slot was the most easy of all, with the tweezers. IMPORTANT: NEVER LET THE TWEEZERS OR PLIERS SLIP.

24) Good! That´s good! Now we can take away all the mechanism which is composed of: Screen with its blue plaque, Battery compartment, View Finder, and USB connection ports. For getting this simply take the unit with your fingers by the batteries compartment and the USB connection ports, try to slide and the move of the pieces will go telling you which one are the collection of devices for getting out. Don´t worry this is the most secure act. Do subtle movements. I assure you that everything needed are free and disconnected into the camera case. No fear! Imagine you are one of the thousands of workers who assemble this machines in the company! This is a common process for them.

25) Will be better you take away the Lenses Unit, this is a seal device which won´t be affected our mission. The lenses doesn´t go to lose their alignment. This device get out just pulling up whitout problem. Yuo´ll see beside him the motor focusing unit. In the second image appears marked the part that we remove as follow… This It! Al last we came where we want!

26) Up: Screw 8 to dismantling and 2 to assembling. Don´t look that the Lenses Device is into the camera case (I remember you these inages were taken when assembling the camera)… remove the lenses unit is needed for get this last device: the Shutter Unit.

27) Up: Screw 9 (the last) to dismantling and 1 (the first) to assembling. FOR BEGINNING TO ASSEMBLE: First insert the Shutter Device then the Lenses Device later. (Avoid strangulate the little microphone cables whit Shutter device when assembling… it occurred to me).

28) Which one is the piece? This is! Once unscrew the las two screws just take away. Put each device apart, far away from dust, from humidity, from sandwiches, from coffee, from boys, from girls… just take a time to look this piece, curse, swear if you want,… go and take a rest cause the second part of the definitive mending for the Autofocus system is coming!. You´ll see another reason why to Coca-Cola has attribuited so many benefits.

29) I mark here the affected part and which we going to remove for getting to the breakdown point that any original replace won´t fix and make you laugh while curse (again)… even more if you already paied for replacing / new parts at service shop. (Is known this is useless cause this replacement part costs $ 69 US and aaalll you buy are exactly the same to this one) I´ll be hoping for proposes and and opinions from SONY. But come to the work: Do you see the hot-seal points marked into the green circles? O.K. continue reading.

30) Hold the shutter device firmly with your fingers (as seen) and cut those little plastic heads. Then slide up the black plastic piece. Avoid to break the thin plastic guides.

31) In the image you see what is under that plastic cover… we… you have dismantled de autofocus system! So much time ago there is not turn back. In the second image you see a little black circle showing a dent that after a year was like this in my camera. This dent is caused for the continous pressure of the shutter´s tipo over her. That dent keep joined (when it is like this) the power ponits (or contact points) of the autofocus mechanism which are into that little circular and black receptacle (I call it and will call in the future as: casserole). The effect is the same for all DSC H… users whom relate refered to all feature on the camera which envolves the use of pre-focus by pressing the shutter button halfway down.

32) Remove this thin and circular piece as seen in the first image (the dented piece off course). That piece is just glued to the pre-focus system with a soft glue. Be careful of cutting or scratching the blue plastic under her, there are the pre- focus contacts. To the second image I call: the “damn confeti”. This little piece of crap is which had made staggering the SONY´s credibility… thinking that the solution don´t costs nothing much. The guy on the blog told that simply flatten the dent and put it again. This procedure was good… if you are inloved of this piece, do it, but I must to advise that the material of that piece is tired and the problem don´t take a long time to show again… and come back to dismantle the camera? NOOOooooo.

33) If we see, the blue plastic into the casserole, you´ll see (depending the damage level) it is dented too and have to repair. First cut gently a little piece from the edge to the level of the blue plastic avoiding the piece slip from your fingers. The purpose is to insert a thin object with its tip rounded just underneath the higher blue plastic. With the thin located in the center (dented place) make pressure up using the edge of the casserole as a lean point. The idea is to get the blue higher of plastic contact the more plane possible.

34) Come back to the “damn confetti”. I became to compare materials and find that the piece is made in the same material as the traditional film, why? First by the similar features, and second because I found a piece and made a continue pressure on it simulating the tip of the shuter button… the result? It did´t take so much time to be excactly the same as the “damn confetti”!! Who has considered to use that kind of material when it going to be subject to these forces! The conditions of CELULOSE become drawback for this solution of design. Do you remember when I mean to the Coca-Cola atributes? Well, here is once more! The dream material must to be flat, thin, light, hard to deform, must to suport punchy forces… cheap and it must last forverer!.

35) Well this is not exactly a Coke but the material!! It is known as PET. You must to remove a little part… atention!! I advise it must to be from the side, not from the base or the neck. Cut a piece of 2 x 3 cm, enough for manipulating. Do not use another as the used on disposable cups (polyestirene), nor the paper, nor the carton, nor the glass, nor the acrylic one, nor the wood, nor the cement, nor the stone, nor the leather, not .... AT all case it is HIGHLY ADVISABLE the use of the THINNEST part of the bottle or look for a bottle that have this characteristic.

36) I cutted it and made the same test… you must to do it too! You´ll see and feel how the day comes to light encourage you to assemble fastly your camera again. Meanwhile I make my self this question: How much cost to the SONY company change for this material? If they goes to bankrupt? I could invest on it sending a couple of these bottles for they get replacement parts about one thousand cameras… and more!.

37) Well, putt he “damn confetti” on the table and the piece of PET over it. Follow the edge of the circle tracing (scratching) with a needle. It is IMPORTANT you trace a bit more inside the confetti in order that the circle remains slightly smaller, 1mm less diameter is sufficient. Now once made the circle, you must to scratch inside the PET circle. The idea is to generate a nonslip texture for the tip of the shutter button don´t slip and brake (if it is not yet). I saw that the tip of the shutter button don´t come totally perpendicular to the “damn confetti” surface and it produces a little twist force… with the time the thin tip breaks at its narrowest part.

38) Now cut “my blessed confetti”, sharpen and clean the edge. Later apply one LITTLE drop of soft glue, NOT INSTANT GLUE, NOR HOT SILICONE, NOR LESS SILICONE FOR GLASS… just one flexible like the used for aeromodelism… do you meet UHU? A Little drop of glue is enough, avoid the excess, cause increase the cap, it will damage the intention of the new piece and if it goes into the casserole, maybe cause that the contacts of the pre-focus mechanism between the blue plastics could be glued… no way.

39) Put it in the center of the casserole, in the same place than occupied for the other. I think it is looking more good looking… either is seen!.

40) Well, Now we are throw away de devils! “Your camera is safe now” jejeje. Then slide the black plastic cover by their guides. It must to look like as the beginning. The ends of the guides must to be at the same level of the surface where the cuts were done. Later apply a little quantity of instant glue over each one of the cutted points….. mini drops. If you apply much glue, they could go to other areas or to your fingers. This glue is good enough for getting come to all places (call: capilarity property). In this case less is more.

41) Everything is ready now!! How it looks like? I´m sure better than from the factory. Now simply remember all about to the tapes well inserted into the slots and go back steps (reverse) beginning from the step number 27 to the step number 1. Before putting the back cover of your camera, clean the internal faces of the viewers from dust using a soft cloth, some as used for cleaning lenses. Don´t rub so heavy. Don´t blow them, nor the use of degrease liquid or alcohol just for 4 or 5 tiny bits of dust. I assure you that won´t go to have troubles. Assure yourself that the 7 conductive tapes disconnected left at your sight before begin to assembling them. Pay attention, nothing must to be tangled or underneath other components or devices. Everything must to fit without apply excessive forces… the turn back way is easy cause I already had prepared it for you. However here is my e-mail if after this clear explanation you have decided not to take the risk. I can do it for you and don´t charge son much for it out of the shipment costs. Even more, I have the solution well-considered for the shutter button mending!! Arreglar definitivamente el sistema de Autoenfoque y el botón Disparador SONY DSC H

O.K. Hola a todos! Este es mi pequeño aporte.

Tengo una DSC-H5 también y el problema? El mismo. Pero en mi caso el autoenfoque (presionando el botón a la mitad del recorrido) fue el que falló primero y el disparador está aún en buenas condiciones. Acudí a investigar sobre esto en la internet y encontré que esta falla doble ocurre en todas las referencias Sony DSC-H… La cámara, tiene muy buenas características y opino que no vale la pena dejarla así por una falla tan simple como verán. Es obvio que no tiene sentido llevarla a reparar, ni comprar los repuestos originales porque dada su mala calidad, la situación no tardará en repetirse, por tanto no es recomendable invertir hasta 300 euros cada 2 meses. Pero los que tenemos y/o amamos estos aparatos no queremos darnos por vencidos.

Cuando me di cuenta lo que le estaba por suceder a mi cámara y que ya tenía los síntomas de todas, investigué aún mas y encontré un blog donde http://www.thelope.com/2007/03/sony-dsc-h2-problems.html nos muestra imágenes del disparador nuevo y de la forma como se daña el sistema de autoenfoque; más adelante (o en otro blog, no recuerdo) nos relatan una experiencia sobre el arreglo del sistema de autoenfoque luego de meterse en la aventura de destapar por sí mismo su cámara y efectuar un arreglo (provisional) en ella. Lo bueno fue que le volvió a encender después de desconectar y re-conectar el delicado cableado interno. Alguien más sugiere que se debieron tomar fotos de ese procedimiento y la idea me quedó sonando... si el pudo, porqué yo no?

Pues bien, soy un sencillo Diseñador Industrial que nada sabe de electrónica pero sí de algo de la conformación de todo tipo de artilugio mecánico. Desde niño desarmé y armé relojes, mi bicicleta, mi moto… mi auto… mi PC... máquinas de coser... herramienta... etc. Al menos nunca me sobraron piezas jejeje.

Conocer todo este panorama me hizo tomar el valor para arreglar mi cámara y meterme en un terreno inexplorado… a fin de cuentas nada tendría que perder por todo lo que ya relaté y de enterarme de las malas experiencias con la SONY, pues no iba a regalar mi dinero, además que la garantía (que ya expiró) está en Bélgica donde la compré y yo vivo cerca... en Colombia, en fin.

El botón disparador está bueno (de esto hablaré luego) pero el sistema de autoenfoque no funciona así que partiendo de las imágenes del blog http://www.thelope.com/2007/03/sony-dsc-h2-problems.html vamos adelante!

Aquí relato paso a paso esta experiencia que ahora repetiría con ojos cerrados y sin miedo por lo fácil que ahora se vé. No es tan complicado como parece, simplemente hay que ser delicado con los esfuerzos y los movimientos excesivos que puedan darse sobre el delicado sistema de cables que son como cintas de plástico que si sufren, por ejemplo un quiebre o doblez marcado, puede interrumpir la transmisión de energía o datos lo que malograría la cámara, procure tampoco tocar las terminales de esas cintas conductoras una vez retiradas, ya que la humedad y acidez de la piel puede causar corrosión en ellas… pero no hay que preocuparse, estas cintas están diseñados para ser flexibles precisamente para que puedan ser manipuladas al momento del ensamblaje y esto no lo hace una máquina o robot… en la SONY esta etapa seguramente la hace un ser humano como Ud. o yo, así que no tema, que después de esto, Ud. va a conocer cómo es su cámara por dentro y va a perder el miedo a lo que inexplicablemente sabemos que ocurre "milagrosamente" dentro de la "caja negra" de estos bellos aparatos… Apropósito, la imágenes a continuación fueron tomadas con una DSC-S60… muy buena cámara también y de las últimas que gozaron de un dispositivo de visión directa para ahorrar batería o para cuando uno estaba en condiciones en que el display quedaba expuesto a la luz intensa por lo que no podíamos ver lo que queríamos fotografiar… se echa de menos en las cámaras actuales de este tipo.

Recomiendo que si están o estaban dispuestos a gastar en una reparación, mejor inviertan en imprimir este documento y en trabajar en una mesa limpia, con iluminación día (no bajo el rayo del sol) y sus manos absolutamente limpias, secas y desengrasadas. También es bueno este baño de manos en la llave y con agua fría para descargar su cuerpo de la estática y así evitar lesionar la delicada electrónica de la cámara. Las herramientas irán saliendo a continuación y todo esto se encuentra en casa así que cuando se requiera es mejor que se levanten a buscarla, con eso cambiamos de actividad y nos relajamos un poco en el proceso. Entonces sin más, comencemos:

1) Primero saque las baterías y luego retiremos uno a uno los tornillos negros que rodean la cámara, no tiene misterio y son 6 señalados en la foto. Es conveniente utilizar un destornillador que ajuste perfectamente para que no se dañe su acabado o se estropee la huella de encaje. Colocarlos en un pequeño plato aparte y no revolverlos con los tornillos internos. Para estos se deberá utilizar un método que explico más adelante. (Aclaro: la foto de arriba es una imagen que bajé de internet, no vaya a pensar que la estuve destapando encendida).

2) Comienza el miedo! No se preocupe, no hay nada conectado aquí. Es solo la tapa trasera. Los botones no caerán, no saltará ningún resorte, ni se va a escapar el pequeño monito (chango) que dibuja (a lo Picapiedra), ni nada. Simplemente retírela deslizándola hacia atrás mediante esfuerzos manuales. No utilice palancas que estropeen el acabado plástico ni los bordes. Colocar aparte junto al plato con los tornillos negros.

3) Ve? No es nada complejo, todo está sujeto y esta pieza se coloca aparte cara-abajo junto al plato con los tornillos.

4) Este es el método para los tornillos internos: Es conveniente dibujar este diagrama que representa la cámara vista por detrás, el rectángulo representa la pantalla, los pequeños círculos representan la ubicación de los tornillos, los números rojos el orden para retirar cuando vamos a desarmar y los azules, el orden cuando vamos a ensamblar la cámara de nuevo. Recomiendo que una vez se retiran uno a uno los tornillos, estos pueden insertarse inmediatamente en el papel atravesándolo en cada círculo respectivo, con esto se evita que un movimiento accidental de la hoja desorganice este orden. Así nos aseguramos que todo quede como estaba al inicio. La ubicación de los círculos es aproximada y no debemos preocuparnos ya que no existen otros tornillos cercanos que nos confundan.

5) Arriba: Tornillo 1 (el primero) para desarmar y el 9 (último) para ensamblar.

6) Arriba: Tornillo 2 para desarmar y el 8 para ensamblar.

7) Arriba: Tornillo 3 para desarmar y el 7 para ensamblar.

8) Arriba: Tornillo 4 para desarmar y el 6 para ensamblar. Es necesario primero retirar un poco la placa sacándola de las guías (segunda imagen arriba).

9) Arriba: Tornillo 5 para desarmar y el 5 para ensamblar. Es conveniente levantar un poco la pantalla y trabajar con el destornillador un poco inclinado. ATENCION: Procure no tocar el display con los dedos ni mucho menos hacer presión sobre él, para esto, siempre tómelo por las esquinas o de los bordes plásticos. Evite tocar los circuitos internos, procesadores, integrados, etc.

10) Arriba: Tornillo 6 para desarmar y el 4 para ensamblar. Es conveniente levantar un poco la pantalla y trabajar con el destornillador inclinado.

Lo siento por la falta de esta imagen, quizás olvidé tomarla, pero encontrarán fácilmente el tornillo siguiendo la ubicación del esquema. Este se encuentra algo profundo escondido bajo uno de lo cables planos del lado derecho del visor. Es preferible que utilice un destornillador imantado.

11) Arriba: Tornillo 7 para desarmar y el 3 para ensamblar.

12) En este punto ya podemos comenzar a retirar los sistemas de cableado requeridos. Se debe conservar sin desconectar los que aparecen en la imagen arriba. (no se preocupe si aquí aparece ya desmontado, enseguida explico el procedimiento). Todas las fotos a continuación en este manual están tomadas al momento del ensamblaje, que me pareció más importante… ya lo verá.

13) Primero es necesario liberar esta pequeña placa soltándola de estas uñas. En la segunda imagen se ve que el montaje es simplemente bajo presión y el desmontaje es abriendo una un poco nada más. Sea delicado.

14) Retirar la cinta azul que controla la Revisión de fotos almacenadas y la activación del View Finder. Esta laminilla está simplemente encajada y para ello basta con arquearla ligeramente hacia arriba para que las uñas se salgan de un lado… es muy fácil. Procure trabajar con camisa sin mangas ni nada que se pueda enredar por error.

15) Aquí comienza la parte delicada: Se trata de desconectar 7 sistemas de cableado tipo "cinta"… 7 fríos sudores como dijo el compañero del blog que tuve que sufrir también, pero bueno, siga mi consejo y todo terminará bien. Después de sacar la placa de la foto anterior verán que la pantalla (display) y el circuito derecho tienen mayor movilidad para retirar el cableado debajo. Esto se hizo para tener acceso a las 7 "cintas" conductoras que tenemos que retirar bajo la pantalla. La primera cinta (imagen superior), está en la esquina inferior izquierda de la cámara: Esta utiliza un sistema de grapa o pestaña negra que se levanta por los extremos y que tiene la función de sujetar dicha cinta. Utilice un pequeño destornillador plano, con firmeza, delicadeza, sin vacilación y en un muy corto movimiento levante una de las esquinas y luego la otra hasta que sienta un clic y la pestaña se levanta como la tapa del motor de un auto (Vea el diagrama abajo). Las imágenes que ven arriba (como todas) son tomadas al momento del ensamblaje, así que para armar de nuevo el mecanismo es debido introducir completamente hasta el fondo la cinta, para esto ayúdese de un depilador de cejas o unas pinzas muy finas, que aprieten sin deformar o lesionar la cinta. Hay dos uñas a cada lado de la cinta que, si UD. se fija bien antes de soltarla, están a un milímetro aproximadamente de la pestaña sujetadora. Esto es IMPORTANTE: No basta con colocar la cinta simplemente en la boca del sistema sujetador, hay que empujarla aún más adentro con una fuerza mediana… practique Ud. aquí una vez y en adelante no tendrá problemas: Memorice la distancia uña-pestaña sujetadora, levante la pestaña sujetadora, hale la cinta, alinee e inserte la cinta, empújela adentro de la ranura con unas pinzas, no solo con el dedo (que utilizo solo para señalar en la foto), baje la pestaña sujetadora hasta que quede absolutamente horizontal, y listo! Le juro que esto es lo más complicado en esta aventura, si lo hace bien la cámara encenderá normalmente, y si no ocurrirán simplemente dos cosas que a mí me sucedieron: Una, que parecía encender pero el display no. Otra, que la cámara enciende y la pantalla también pero saca un mensaje: "vuelva a encender la cámara de nuevo". Como ven no es nada grave, pero fue un momento de tensión tremendo… hasta pensé en claudicar mi misión y llevarla en pedazos a un centro especializado para soportar la burla y el regaño… bastó respirar hondo y descansar un rato para evaluar lo que hice mal y eso fue no haber determinado la distancia tan corta entre las uñas laterales de la cinta y el borde de la pestaña sujetadora para asegurarme de esa manera que estaba REALMENTE insertada hasta el fondo. Abajo hay una esquema del sistema de este tipo de acople que se utiliza en 4 de los 7 que retiraremos:

16) Ubique esta cinta (debajo de la cámara junto al compartimiento de las pilas), utilice las pinzas para halar de la cinta hacia afuera, no permita que las pinzas se resbalen de la cinta. Como vé, este tipo de acople no utiliza pestaña de presión, simplemente basta con introducir la cinta hasta el FONDO, antes de sacarla tome una foto mental de la profundidad a la cual la punta de la cinta se encuentra. Cuidado con los cablecillos rojo y negro y ah! antes levante el papel adhesivo con gentileza y solo lo necesario para que pueda realizar este procedimiento.

17) Aquí utilicé el destornillador solamente para señalar que vamos a sacar la cinta de líneas azules que está agarrada por esa pequeña uña. Utilice los dedos y no se preocupe que la cinta es muy flexible… de eso se trata y para ese tipo de manipulación está hecha.

18) Levantando el display cariñosamente vamos a retirar esa cinta de líneas azules. Aquí quizás se dará cuenta de mejor manera, del sistema de acople que yo llamo de pestaña sujetadora o de presión. En la primera foto se observa la forma de levantar la pestaña (remítase de nuevo al esquema). Acto seguido se retira la cinta… ya saben que para introducirla nuevamente debe ser con las pinzas hasta el fondo... fondo. En la segunda foto se observa la pestaña levantada.

19) Arriba: Este sistema también es de pestaña sujetadora, no se preocupe… la verdad no sé porqué tiene diferente forma. Retiren la cinta y luego hálenla en esa dirección hacia afuera de la cámara para sacarla de las guías plásticas de color negro… no olviden meterla de nuevo por debajo de estas al momento del ensamblaje.

20) Estas son las últimas dos cintas que retiraremos. Puf! Debajo de la cinta pequeña (derecha) hay un cablecillo doble de color rojo y negro que lleva energía al micrófono, pero eso lo veremos en el punto 23.

21) Junto al View Finder hay dos cintas mas por retirar, yo comencé con esta que es un poco dispendiosa porque tuve que levantar solo lo necesario, el adhesivo plateado. Tiene el sistema de pestaña sujetadora (ya Ud. sabe). En la siguiente imagen utilizo el destornillador solo para señalar la cinta y el adhesivo plateado. La idea es que al final todo quede como al comienzo y conserve la originalidad.

22) Esta cinta está al lado de la anterior y solo debe halarla. Introducirla con las pinzas hasta el fondo. En la foto de arriba solamente lo estoy señalando.

23) El famoso cablecillo del micrófono: Es un sencillo enchufe diminuto que Ud. debe asir con seguridad ya que si la pinza se resbala corren el riesgo de sacar de un tirón uno de los cablecillos del acople. No está tan apretado como parece. Yo utilicé una aguja y pinchándolo MUY suavemente por los lados alternativamente y mediante delicadas fuerzas de palanca, lo fui sacando… para introducirlo fue muy fácil con las pinzas. Pero ojo! Que no se resbale la pinza!. En la otra foto se vé el cablecillo desconectado… perdón por la foto un poco movida, acabé un tanto nervioso.

24) Bien! Ya está! Ahora podemos sacar todo el mecanismo que incluye display, compartimiento de baterías, view finder y puertos de conexión USB. Para esto simplemente tome con los dedos la parte del compartimento para las baterías y los puertos de conexión e intente deslizar todo hacia afuera y el movimiento le irá diciendo cual es el conjunto que está por salir de su cámara. Haga movimientos sutiles, pero le aseguro que ya todo esto está suelto y desconectado. Animo y sin miedo! Imagínese siendo uno de los miles de operarios que ensamblan de a miles de estas cámaras en un día.

25) Será mejor que saque el Sistema de Lentes… como vé, es una unidad sellada que no se vé afectada por este procedimiento… no se van a desalinear las lentes ni nada de eso. Este aparato sale hacia arriba sin más problemas. También verán pegado a él, el motorcito de enfoque. En la imagen arriba se señala en verde la parte que retiraremos a continuación… ESTA ES! Por fín llegamos a donde queremos!

26) Arriba: Tornillo 8 para desarmar y el 2 para ensamblar. No se fije en que el dispositivo de lentes esté puesto en la foto… (retirar el lente lo aprendí a fuerza de revisar dos y tres veces todo)

27) Arriba: Tornillo 9 (último) para desarmar y el 1 (el primero) para ensamblar. PARA COMENZAR A ENSAMBLAR: Primero introduzca el Mecanismo de Disparo, luego el dispositivo de Lentes. (Cuidado con estrangular los cablecillos del mocrófono con el dispositivo de disparo... a mí me sucedió).

28) Cual es la pieza? Esta es! Solamente sáquela. Y ponga cada dispositivo aparte, lejos del polvo, de la luz directa del sol, de la humedad, de los sándwiches, del café, de los niños, de las niñas… Solo observe esta pieza, maldiga lo que quiera, vaya y tome un descanso que ya viene la segunda parte el arreglo definitivo del sistema de autoenfoque! Se los prometo. Verán otra razón del porque a la Coca-Cola se le atribuyen tantos beneficios.

29) Aquí señalo la parte afectada y la que vamos a retirar para llegar al punto de la avería que ningún repuesto original arreglará y le hará reírse mientras maldice… y mas si ya pagó por un cambio de repuestos (que ya sabe que es inútil, porque esta pieza cuesta $69 dólares fuera de gastos de envío solo dentro de los E.U. y tooodas las piezas que compre vienen exactamente igual a esta). Esperaré propuestas y opiniones de la SONY. Volvamos al cuento: Se da cuenta de los puntos de sellamiento al calor señalados dentro de los círculos verdes? Bien, prosiga leyendo.

30) Sujete con firmeza en la mano la pieza y con un cortador afilado corte, cizalle o "descabece" los puntitos de plástico. Retire la pieza de plástico negro deslizándola hacia arriba. Tenga cuidado de no partir los ejes plásticos con los cuales esa pieza se sujeta.

31) En la imagen superior se observa la tapa negra separada… hemos desarmado el sistema de autoenfoque! Hace tiempo que no hay vuelta atrás, Ud. ha llegado a la raíz del problema. En la siguiente toma se observa un círculo negro con una abolladura que en un año en mi cámara estaba así. Esta abolladura se produce por la presión continua del punzón del botón disparador sobre ella. Esa protuberancia mantiene unido siempre los contactos eléctricos del mecanismo de autoenfoque que están dentro de ese pequeño recipiente circular negro (cazuela) que la envuelve y que deja inutilizable toda característica de la cámara que involucre un pre-enfoque.

32) Retire esa delgada pieza como lo ve en la foto. Esa parte está solamente pegada con un adhesivo suave. Tenga cuidado de no cortar ni rayar el plástico azul donde residen los contactos que están por debajo. A la segunda foto la llamo el "maldito conffetti", esa pequeña pieza de porquería es la que ha puesto a tambalear la credibilidad de la SONY… y pensar que la solución no cuesta nada. El amigo del blog dijo que simplemente la talló por el otro lado para aplanarla de nuevo y la colocó de nuevo, esto fue bueno pero ya la pieza tiene un cansancio del material que no tardará en manifestarse… y volver a desarmar la cámara? NOOOooooo, ni de fundas! como decimos aquí.

33) Si observamos el plástico azul de los contactos dentro de la pequeña cazuela se verá que (dependiendo el grado de daño) también esta abollado y hay que repararlo. Primero corte con delicadeza y sin que la pieza resbale de sus dedos, una pequeña parte del borde de la cazuela para poder introducir un objeto con punta gastada y hacer presión hacia afuera, para restablecer el mecanismo separando los puntos de contacto superior e inferior. De nuevo, tenga cuidado de no cortar el plástico conductor o rayar los contactos. En la segunda foto se observa cómo se hace una ligera presión para invertir el embombamiento hacia afuera e intentar que quede lo más plana posible... digamos que es algo de "latoneria" automotriz... "empuje el golpe para afuera!"

34) Volvamos al "maldito conffetti". Me puse a comparar materiales y encontré que la piecita del demonio es del material de película antigua, porqué? primero por el parecido y segundo porque sencillamente encontré un pedacito y la presioné con un objeto que tenía en el extremo una punta similar a la del botón disparador… el resultado? Al poco tiempo se talló de igual manera!! A quien se le ocurre utilizar este tipo de material cuando se debe someter a estos esfuerzos? La memoria de la CELULOSA y su dureza la hacen inconveniente para este diseño! Yo buscando trabajo y en la SONY contratan a gente a la que se le ocurre este tipo de solución de diseño! Pues aquí va mi contraataque… y no cuesta mucho más. Recuerdan lo que mencionaba de los atributos curativos de la Coca-Cola? Pues he aquí uno más! Me puse a buscar el material idóneo: delgado, liviano, que no se deforme tan fácil, que soporte el punzamiento, que sea barato, y que dure PARA SIEMPRE!.

35) Bueno, esta no es una Coca-Cola exactamente, pero el material del envase si que lo es! Se conoce como PET. Debemos sacarle un pequeño pedacito pero atención! Recomiendo que sea del costado, no de la base ni del cuello. Recorte un pedazo de 2 x 3 cm, suficiente para manipularlo. No utilice otro como el de los vasos desechables (poliestireno), ni el papel, ni el cartón, ni el vidrio, ni el acrílico, ni la madera, ni el cemento, ni la piedra, ni el cuero, ni .... en fin.

36) Yo lo corté e hice la misma prueba del punzón… hágala usted! Y compare, verá que siente como se le ilumina el día, animándolo a ensamblar de nuevo rápidamente su cámara. Mientras tanto me pregunto: cuánto le costará a la SONY cambiar el material por este? Será que van a la quiebra? Porque si es así yo les puedo enviar un par de envases de estos para que saquen repuestos para unas mil cámaras y más!

37) Bueno, coloquemos el "maldito conffetti" en la mesa y el trocito de PET encima de aquel. Calquemos el contorno del círculo trazando con una aguja afilada el borde. Es IMPORTANTE que trace un poco mas adentro del círculo para que quedo un poco más pequeño, con restarle 1 mm al diámetro del confeti original basta. Y he aquí algo que hice después pero que puede ser hecho ahora: una vez hecho el círculo, rayen con la misma punta el interior del círculo, de forma de generar una especie de textura antideslizante para que la punta del botón disparador no se resbale y se quiebre (si no lo está ya) ya que como observé, la punta no toca perpendicularmente la superficie del conffetti y esto provoca un pequeño arqueo que con el tiempo termina por quebrarse en su parte más angosta.

38) Ahora recorte "mi bendito conffetti" y afine su borde muy bien. Luego aplíquele un pegante suave, NO INSTANTÁNEO, TAMPOCO SILICONA CALIENTE, NI SE LE OCURRA SILICONA PARA VIDRIOS… solo uno flexible que se utiliza para aeromodelos (conoce en UHU?). Una mini gotita basta, evite los excesos, porque engrosará la capa, dañará el propósito de la pieza y si se derrama dentro de la cazuela, quizás provoque que las laminillas de contacto se adhieran… ni hablar.

39) Colóquela en el centro de la cazuela, en el lugar que ocupaba la otra. Opino que hasta se vé más estética… ni se vé!

40) Bueno, ya hemos expulsado los demonios! "Su cámara ahora esta segura" jejeje. Entonces deslice de nuevo la pieza negra que protege el sistema dentro de las guías, procure que acople totalmente igual que como estaba. Los extremos de las guías deben quedar al mismo nivel de la superficie por donde hicieron los cortes. Luego aplique una pequeñísima cantidad de pegante instantáneo… mini-gotitas en los puntos cortados, ya que si aplica mucho se puede ir a otras partes o a sus dedos y este pegante es bastante bueno para llegar a sitios recónditos (dícese: capilaridad). En este caso, menos es más.

41) Todo está listo! Como luce? Estoy seguro que mejor que de fábrica! Ahora simplemente, recuerde lo de las cintas bien metidas hasta el fondo y vaya hacia atrás (en reversa) de estas instrucciones partiendo desde el paso 27 atornillando la unidad de disparo, luego introduciendo y encajando bien la unidad de lentes y así sucesivamente... en reversa hasta el punto uno. Ah! no olvide antes de poner la tapa posterior, limpiar los visores del polvo por su cara interna con un paño muy suave, de esos que se utilizan para limpiar gafas, lo mismo que la pantalla del display... sin tallar muy fuerte. No sople, no utilice líquido o alcohol desengrasante alguno ya que en el corto período de exposición al aire seguramente tendrá solo 4 o 5 motitas de polvo. Le aseguro que no va a tener problemas. Asegúrese primero que los 7 cables desconectados queden a la vista antes de acoplarlos, que nada haya quedado enredado o debajo de otros componentes y que todo encaje sin esfuerzos… el camino de vuelta es fácil, ya se lo he dejado preparado. Sin embargo aquí dejo mi e-mail por si aún con esto no se arriesga, yo puedo hacerlo por Ud. y no cobro mucho fuera de los gastos de envío, es más, ya tengo la solución pensada para reparar el botón de disparo, pero como mi cámara aun lo tiene en buen estado… Este arreglo también es para siempre, por lo menos mientras dure la cámara: jjnc69@gmail.com, Bogotá – Colombia.

42) Olvidé decirles que mi cámara está funcionando a la perfección y si aún desean este archivo en formato .PDF nada más escribanme.
